The Weekend

Sooo....my weekend was an interesting one... still getting accoustomed to the Dutch culture.


Let's see.....Friday - sat here and was a big loser. I played guitar for a while, watched Coach Carter and went to the gym.

Saturday.... - Spent the whole day at The Boorze (the basketball gym) watching games of all the younger teams then Saturday night we went to team dinner at some place in Leiden. It was pretty good... kind of like a Mongolian BBQ, the restaurants in Columbus.

After dinner we went out in Noordwijk. Their clubs here are....interesting...Not really sure what else to say. The first place we went to was the Seahorse...It was packed..and smokey and loud. The choice of music was random... I can't really say I liked it. Techno, Mariah Carey Christmas songs, Billy Joel, Dutch soccer fight songs...

The second place we went to was a tiny itty bitty bar with 3000 people in it. I felt like I was standing on the sun it was so hot in there. Of course I had on a long sleeve shirt too..dumb. There was the really really cute girl there tho that kept looking at me. My roomie was making fun of me.. I didn't want to talk to her b/c it was a strait bar... my roomie said I was a pussy..haha. She had on a black polo with a popped collar..It was pretty much a give away, but I got nervous...I know.. hard to believe right?? This bar was kind of cool minus the heat and all the strait people. It just really wasn't my scene... plus.. I really wasn't drunk and we all know I am the worlds worst dancer with or without alcohol in me.. just makes it easier after a few beers. There's always next weekend to make up for it.

I got home and stay up late to listen to the Buckeyes lose... amazing...WTF guys? Penn State....are you kidding me???? ARGH!!!!
